Some characteristics of Avicenna adopted by young Iranian scientists

IBNA- Believing that the Iranian youth must follow in the footsteps of Avicenna (Ibn Sina), researcher and university scholar Ja’far Aqayani Chavoshi (PhD) talks of problems in his work ‘Some Studies on Scientific and Philosophical Works of Ibn Sina’.

According to IBNA correspondent, the book ‘Some Studies on Scientific and Philosophical Works of Ibn Sina’ is a collection of articles written by local and foreign scholars on the works and activities of this legendary Iranian polymath, gathered and edited by J’afar Aqayani Chavoshi, a faculty member at Sharif University in Tehran and compiled by Bu-Ali Scientific and Cultural Foundation.

“Westerners present their scientists and philosophers in books, articles, films and gatherings in a way to make the most of the occasion to influence other countries with their culture and make themselves known as the pioneers in science and knowledge. In contrast, we have done nothing well deserving our great scientific figures to attract the attention of the people in the west and even in our own country,” Chavoshi said.

Some Studies on Scientific and Philosophical Works of Ibn Sina’ is about to be released in Hamadan with the collaboration of the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies.
